About the Environmental Performance Survey (EPS)

"EPS is the tool used by IKEA to evaluate various environmental aspects of a Transport & Service Provider (TSP).

According to the IWAY Standard v.5.1 – Transport Section, requirement 4.8, all TSPs shall fill in the EPS before start of business, update it annually, and reach the minimum scores established for every section. The EPS Questionnaire has to be filled-in and submitted to IKEA, every year within the end of February.

The EPS is divided into following 4 sections:

  • General Section (applicable to all TSPs, regardless of the type of services they provide)
  • Land Section (for Land carriers using own or subcontracted HGV for transport services including long-haul, pre and on carriage and Category Service Business trunk line)
  • Customer Delivery Section (for Category Service Business last mile transport services)
  • Warehousing Section (for any external warehousing service, like CPs, LSCs, hubs. This section is not applicable to Storage Areas located inside IKEA Retail stores)

  • General Section - applicable for all TSPs, regardless of the type of services they provide
  • Land Section - applicable for Land carriers using own or sub-contracted heavy goods vehicles for transport services including long-haul, pre- & on-carriage and trunk line
  • Warehousing Section - applicable for any external warehousing service, like CPs, LSCs,PUPs, hubs. Not applicable to storage areas located inside IKEA Retail stores.
